FAAC was founded in Bologna, Italy in 1965 with the introduction of hydraulics to automated gate opening systems. Over
the years it has perfected this technology and this has enhanced
the company's reputation for relieabillty and ease of equipment
use.
This technology allows FAAC systems to move large forces (distance
x mass) greated by swinging a gate through an arc with the minimum
of strain, so creating very stable gateing systems. |
Continuing Development
Durring the 1980's, FAAC began producing its own electronics,
including access control devices, radio controls, safety and signaling
systems.
They were the first to use microprocessors in control units,
SMT technology, as well as simplified self-learning radio controls.

FAAC is a World Leader
Today FAAC is the world's largest specialized manufacturer of automated
gate operators for barrier, slide and swing gate systems.It's hydraulic
operators meet or exceed strict European safety requirements, as
well as UL standards in the United States. It received ISO-9001
Certification in 1996.
